Women's Basketball Signs A Pair For 2024 Class

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana women's basketball team welcomes two additions to their 2024-25 roster. Avery Yosten and Olivia Kesti have both signed their national letters of intent to play for the Vikings in 2024-25.

Olivia is a strong inside presence that brings high energy and a competitive spirit to everything she does. She is a tough-minded athlete with elite rebounding skills that will do whatever it takes to help her team win. I can't wait to see how she elevates our team."

High School: Kesti is a three-year starter and letterwinner for Spring Lake Park High School. As a junior, she earned most improved and best defensive player at her school while averaging five rebounds and two steals per game. 

Personal: Olivia is the daughter of Kim and Greg Kesti. While at Augustana, she is undecided on a major.

"Avery is an extremely skilled and versatile player that will use her length to her advantage in the paint while being able to stretch the floor for us as well.  Avery's team-first attitude coupled with her talents is what sets her apart from others. Her influence both on and off the court will be felt immediately"

High School: Yosten is a three-year starter and captain, and four-year letterwinner for Norfolk Catholic High School. As a sophomore, she scored 12.3 points and grabbed 6.1 rebounds per game on her way to all-conference first team, all-area second team, all-state honorable mention, and academic all-state teams. A two-time district finalist, Yosten scored 8.6 points and grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game as a freshman. 

Personal: Avery is the daughter of Jeff and Lisa Yosten. While at Augustana, she plans to major in biology.
