SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The Augustana wrestling team returns to NSIC action on Friday night, traveling to Marshall, Minn., for a dual against No. 24 Southwest Minnesota State. The dual is set to start at 7 p.m.

The Mustangs are 2-2 in duals overall and 0-2 in the NSIC. This will be their first dual since Dec. 8-9 when they defeated Minnesota West and Ridgewater College. Their conference losses have come against UMary and Minot State. SMSU has a pair ranked in the NWCA poll, with Caden Steffen ranked No. 4 at 197 pounds and Jacob Dykes ranked No. 11 at 285 pounds.
The Vikings hold a record of 6-4 overall and 1-1 in NSIC action. Augustana was last on the mat in the NWCA National Duals last weekend, earning three ranked victories en route to a second place finish. Their victory over No. 3 Lander was the Vikings' highest-ranked victory since Dec. 20, 2019. AU now has five ranked wins on the season, including three victories against Northern State.
Cade Mueller went 4-0 on the weekend on his way to NSIC Wrestler of the Week honors. It was his second weekly honor for the Vikings this season, and the third career honor for Mueller.
Four Vikings were individually ranked in the latest NWCA rankings.
Jaxson Rohman continues to hold a grasp at the top spot at 125 pounds.
Hunter Burnett continues to hold a spot at 141 pounds, slotting in at No. 11.
Cael Larson makes his debut in the 149 rankings, ranking No. 10, and Mueller is now ranked No. 7 at 184 pounds. As a team, Augustana ranks No. 17.
