SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana wrestling team travels a half mile north on Thursday afternoon, taking on Sioux Falls at 7 p.m. inside the Stewart Center.

In their first season as a reborn program, the Cougars are 2-8 overall and 0-5 in NSIC duals after losing to Minot State and UMary on the road last weekend. They won their first DII dual on Jan. 20 at the Younes Hospitality Duals, knocking off Ouachita Baptist 33-12. Beau Kligensmith is 11-6 at 133 pounds and has recorded seven pins. At 157 pounds, Lane Fink is 11-8 with five pins. 

The Vikings and Cougars matched up five times from 2006-2010, with AU winning all five. They have been dominant in every meeting, outscoring USF 229-9 in total. 

The Vikings are now up to 11-4 overall and 5-1 in the NSIC after going on the road and knocking off Minot State and No. 13 UMary. The Vikings stand at No. 14 in the NWCA team rankings while getting five into the individual rankings. 

Jaxson Rohman slots in as the No. 2-ranked 125 pounder and Cade Mueller jumped to No. 4 at 184 pounds. The Vikings have three ranked at No. 11 in their respective weight classes, as Hunter Burnett (141), Cael Larson (149), and Max Ramberg (197) each find themselves in the top-12. 

The Vikings now have eight ranked victories on the season, the most since at least 2015-16, and are winners of five straight. Among probables, Ramberg leads the way wit16 wins, including 10 tech falls. Right behind him is Rohman, who has a team-high seven major decisions.
