SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Five incoming athletes have signed to join the Augustana women's basketball team for the 2025-26 season head coach Nate Vogel announced on Wednesday, welcoming Greta Dillinger, Addison Hanna, Makinley Lawrenson, Clarrisa Sauer and Alexis Schaefer.

Coach Vogel on the class: All of our 2025 recruits excel in the classroom in addition to being great basketball players.  We think we hit absolute home runs with this entire recruiting class.  We added tremendous versatility.  Every single player can hit the 3 and guard multiple spots.  Most importantly, they are all really good people who fit the culture we now have here in our program. They will do a great job taking care of their teammates.  Our fans should be big-time excited to watch these young women in the near future.  This class will absolutely elevate our program!

Greta Dillinger | Guard | Polk City, Iowa | North Polk High School
High School: Dillinger is a three-year letterwinner with a year as a starter and team captain. She has earned three conference championships with North Polk, including a state runner-up finish in 2022-23 and a state semi-finals appearance in 2023-24, averaging 8.3 points a game as a junior.

Personal: Greta is the daughter of Tosh and Crystal Dillinger and plans to major in psychology and sports management while at Augustana.

Coach Vogel on Dillinger: "Greta is an absolute sniper from the 3-point line. We love shooters and we definitely got one with Greta. She is going to help us a lot by spacing the floor. You can't double off Greta or it's going in the hoop!"
Addison Hanna | Guard | Maple Grove, Minn. | Maple Grove Senior High
High School: Hanna is a four-year letterwinner at Maple Grove Senior High, a team that has won three consecutive conference championships. She also helped the Crimsons finish fourth at the state tournament her junior year.

Personal: Addison is the daughter of Brandon Hanna and Jodi Smith and plans to major in pre-med/biology while at Augustana.

Coach Vogel on Hanna: "Addie is an exceptional guard who we feel is going to be able to step in right away and help us next year. She does a lot of different things very well. Addie can handle the ball and also shoot the ball exceptionally well!"

Makinley Lawrenson | Forward | Sioux Falls, S.D. | Harrisburg High School
High School: Lawrenson is a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter who averaged 10.9 points/game and 5.0 rebounds/game as a junior. She earned All-Metro Conference Honorable Mention distinction as a junior and helped lead her team to back-to-back fourth place finishes at the state tournament.

Personal: Makinley is the daughter of Shellian and Jason Lawrenson and plans to major in sports psychology while at Augustana.

Coach Vogel on Lawrenson: "Kinley is a super athletic player who also stretches the floor and is capable of hitting the 3. We love to get local players and we think we found a special one in Kinley."
Clarissa Sauer | Guard | Lewiston, Minn. | Hope Lutheran High School
High School: Sauer is a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at Hope Lutheran High School and is the reigning Winona Daily News Player of the Year. She averaged 22.2 points/game and 7.3 rebounds/game en route to clipping the 1,000-point mark as a junior, earning All-Conference and All-State distinctions.

Personal: Clarissa is the daughter of Chris and Heather Sauer and is planning to pursue a degree in business at Augustana.

Coach Vogel on Sauer: "Clarissa is a big-time addition to our roster.  She was originally committed to a D1 program before a coaching change allowed us to bring her on board here at Augie.  She is a dynamic guard with a lot of versatility.  Augustana fans are going to love watching Clarissa!"
Alexis Schaefer | Forward | Chaska, Minn. | Chaska High School
High School: Schaefer is a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Chaska High School coming off an All-Conference honorable mention and All-Conference defensive team selection as a junior. She led her team to the section semi-finals following a season that ended in the final round of sections.

Personal: Alexis is the daughter of Ben and Lindsey Schaefer and plans to major in finance while at Augustana.

Coach Vogel on Schaefer: "Lexi is another long player who can play inside/out. Lexi wowed us at Elite Camp with everything she was able to do. She can hit the 3, she can put it on the floor and she can post up. Then she can guard you full court on defense. Lexi is a really special player!"
