SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana wrestling will open up 2024-25 NSIC action with a Saturday dual at No. 3 Parkside as competition is set to start at 5 p.m.

The Rangers
Parkside is currently ranked #3 in the most recent NWCA team standings after opening its 2024-25 season with a 30-6 victory over then-ranked #8 Maryville at the Wisconsin Wrestling Showcase.
 
UWP has since competed in three tournaments over the last three weekends, with seven total individual titles claimed in the action.
 
Eight wrestlers are ranked in their respective weight classes by the NWCA. Cayden Henschel, Ben Durocher and Reece Worachek are the highest-rated at third in the 141, 157 and 184 weight classes, respectively. Shane Corrigan is fourth at 125, Jalen Spuhler is fourth at 149 and Lloyd Reynolds is seventh at 285. Rounding out the ranked at 133 pounds is Matthew Chi in eighth and at 165 pounds is Dajun Johnson in 15^th.
 
The Vikings
Augustana holds a 0-1 record overall and will open NSIC action on Saturday. The Vikings last bout on the mat came two weeks ago at the Younes Hospitality Open—where three wrestlers collected place-finishes—and the last dual action happened on Nov. 15 at South Dakota State.
 
Four Vikings maintained individual rankings in the latest NWCA release. Jaxson Rohman remains in the top spot of the 125-pound weight class while Cael Larson sit sixth at 149 pounds. At 184, Cade Mueller is ranked seventh and Max Ramberg sits fifth at 197.
 
The 2024-25 roster of 36 is made up of 10 freshmen, eight redshirt freshmen, six redshirt sophomores, one junior, eight redshirt juniors and three seniors. Of the 36, six return after wrestling in the Super Regional last season.
