Viking Swim and Dive Earns More National Qualifications on Second Day of Rochester Invite

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Augustana swimming and diving teams saw plenty of national qualifications on the second day of the Rochester Invite.

In the Fast Lane
-The 200 freestyle relay team earned national qualification after taking the first final of the night with a time of 1:32.76 as Meesha and Makoa Montgomery, Angelina Chan and Bryn Greenwaldt took the top spot. 
- Nesrine Jelliti reset the record in the 100 breast, taking it home and hitting a national qualification mark with a time of 1:02.26. Zheng Yeap, whose 4:07.49 slots fourth in program history. 
- In the 100 breast, Mason Kauffeld finished first with a time of 55.82, now giving him the top two times in program history. 
- Another national qualifying time came in the 100 backstroke as Bryn Greenwaldt finished first with a time of 54.70.
- Greenwaldt, Jelliti, Chan and Meesha Montgomery each picked up another victory in the 400 medley relay at 3:46.15, over five seconds faster than second place.

Off the Boards
- For the second consecutive night, David Binsfeld shattered another program record, this time in the 3m dive when he took first with 455.40 points.
- Nearly qualifying in the 1m dive was Kate Robbins with a score of 372.65 points

The Rochester Invite concludes Saturday with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
