SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The defending NSIC Champion Augustana women's swimming & diving team will look to repeat in 2024 beginning Wednesday at the Midco Aquatics Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The event runs four-consecutive days with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. each day and finals at 5:30 p.m. Diving will take place Thursday and Saturday with prelims at 1 p.m. and the finals taking place in the championship portion of the evening.

Of the 15 individual swimming events, Augustana owns NSIC top-five times 14 times. That includes four events with the No. 1 time heading into the championship meet with two of those held by
Bryn Greenwaldt.
The reigning NSIC Swimmer of the Year owns the top time in the 50 free (22.81) and 100 free (50.41). In addition, she owns the second-fastest time in the 100 backstroke in a time of 55.76. Both freestyle events also have
Makoa Montgomery and
Meesha Montgomery in a podium position. Makoa holds the league's second-quickest time in the 50 free at 23.37 while Meesha is third in the 100 free at 52.03.
The 100 IM should prove to be a fruitful event for AU as Vikings hold five of the top seven swims in 2023-24 in the event.
Angelina Chan holds the conference's best time at 57.77 while
Meesha Montgomery is third at 58.49. Nathlaia Silva,
Nesrine Jelliti and
Anna Tindall each hold sports five, six and seven, respectively.
Jelliti holds the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.37 while Chan is fourth in 1:05.08. The 200 breaststroke sees Jelliti in the fourth position at 2:22.63.
Chan finds herself amongst the conference's best yet again in the 100 fly as she is third at 57.22 while Silva holds the league's fourth-best time in the 200 backstroke at 2:06.02.
The diving squad has completed 11 dives on just a pair of occasions this year with
Avery Lommel owning 412 points on the 1M dive and 422.25 points on the 3M dive.
Clare Duplissis has a season-best 352.55 points on the 1M while
Kate Robbins owns 377.45 points on the 3M.
In all, Augustana returns 11 All-NSIC performances for last season, plus relays where the Vikings are the defending champs in the 200 free, 400 and 800 free relays.
