Vikings Finish Home Slate With Triangular Success

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana swimming and diving teams closed its home schedule with a triangular meet inside the Midco Aquatic Center on Friday night.

In the Fast Lane 
-The first Viking victory of the night came in the 200 yard medley relay when Ella Ward-Zeller, Nesrine Jelliti, Angela -Chan and Meesha Montgomery finished with a time of 1:44.84, just .2 seconds ahead of Bryn Greenwaldt, Anna Tindall, Gracin Larson and Makoa Montgomery
-On the men's side for the 200 yard medley relay, Jackson Dircks, Mason Kauffeld, Pedro Borin and Peyton Bartsch took the top time at 1:32.67 
-Greenwaldt took home her first individual title of the night in the 100 yard backstroke. Her 55.97 time was over two seconds faster than second.
-In the 100 breaststroke, Kauffeld touched the wall after 58.24 seconds to take the crown. 
-The men's 200 fly saw three of the top four finishers dawning Augustana colors, led by Pedro Borin's 1:55.18
-Peyton Bartsch zoomed through the 50 yard free, finishing in 20.96 to claim victory. 
-Greenwaldt also swam an NCAA Provisional Time in the 100 yard free, closing in at 51.93. 
-Isaac Rokusek earned a tight victory in the men's 100 free when he finished in 47.60. 
-In 2:07.49, Ward-Zeller glided through the 200 backstroke for another win on her resume.
-Matthew Pietsch took home a win in the men's 200 backstroke with a time of 1:52.72. 
-Kauffeld got back to his winning ways for the 200 breaststroke, finishing in 2:08:00, over five seconds faster than second place. 
-Borin earned his second win of the night when he finished the 100 fly in 51.11. 
-Meesha Montgomery's 2:11.40 in the 200 IM helped her place first and give the Vikings nine points.
-Rokusek earned the final individual win of the night with a 1:56.87 time in the 200 IM.
-In the final relay win of the night, Greenwaldt, Chan, Makoa Montgomery and Sofia Hein won with a time of 1:34.76 in the 200 free relay. 

Off the Boards
-Avery Lommel and Kate Robbins each secured points in the 3m diving, finishing with 247.73 and 235.95 points to close in second and third, respectively. 
-Lommel and Robbins each finished second and third in the 1m diving as well.

The Augustana women travel to Mankato, Minnesota for a Saturday dual against Minnesota State.
