SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana women's basketball continues the 2025-26 campaign hosting Nebraska Kearney on Thursday before traveling to Upper Iowa on Saturday.

The Lopers
Nebraska Kearney was picked to finish fifth the MIAA in the conference preseason poll after going 20-9 and advancing to the MIAA Tournament last season. They are currently 3-3 on the season and are 1-2 against the NSIC thus far. Freshman Myleigh Weers leads the team with 16.5 points per game while averaging 29.7 minutes per game.
The Peacocks
Upper Iowa was selected to finish eighth in the GLVC. The Peacocks are 1-2 on the year with a pair of GLIAC losses and a victory over Winona State. Ellie Foster is averaging 10.7 points per game to lead the team.
Series History
Augustana 8-3 against the Lopers, last facing off Nov. 2015, a game that ended in an 82-63 victory. Meanwhile, Augustana has defeated Upper Iowa in 31 of 32 games, with the last matchup taking place nearly a year ago. That contest ended with 79-58 victory for the Peacocks.

The Augustana women's basketball team fell 65–58 to Central Missouri on Saturday at the Elmen Center. Despite a late fourth-quarter surge, the Vikings could not overcome a cold stretch in the third quarter that allowed the Jennies to pull ahead for good.
Augustana was led by Payton Hardy, who scored 14 points, knocked down three 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds. Maliyah Elliott added 13 points, including a pair of threes, while Addie Hanna finished with 10 points and a team-high four assists. Clarissa Sauer chipped in seven points and seven rebounds.
The Vikings
The Vikings have opened 0-2 with a pair of competitive losses.
Payton Hardy leads the team with 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while Isabella Sanneh is reight behind her averaging 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
Maliyah Elliott has been a spark plug among the newcomers, scoring 9.5 pounts per game while knocking down four of her 10 shots from beyond the arc. Another newcomer having success beyond the arc is Kristin Edmonds, knocking down three of six from long range and averaging 5.5 points per game.
A freshman turning heads is Addie Hanna. Making a pair of appearances off the bench, Hanna has also scored 9.5 points per game while going 9 of 11 from the free throw line.
