MANKATO, Minn. – In the final day of competition at the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships, the Augustana track and field squad collected 14 all-conference finishes with four NSIC event titles.
The Viking men finished second in the team standings with 89 points only behind host Minnesota State with 206.5 points while the women were third with 77.5 points, finishing behind Minnesota State (254.5 points) and UMary (133.5 points).
Ryan Hartman was also named the High Point Performer on the men's side of competition as he earned NSIC titles in three total events over the weekend.
Day two action for Augustana began in the women's mile run with
Lindsey Young clocking a PR of 5:05.00 for seventh place while
Ramsey Karim (5:13.30) took 11
th and
Tenley Nelson (5:19.83) was 12
th.
The Vikings lit it up in the men's mile run with Hartman emerging with a conference crown in 4:11.78. An additional five Vikings also competing in the event all placed in the top-10 with
Tyson Ricker (fourth, 4:12.95),
Bryant Keller (sixth, 4:16.21, PR),
Payton Brown (eighth, 4:17.88, PR),
Isaiah Anderson (ninth, 4:18.00, PR) and
Nick Batchelor (10
th, 4:22.94).
Andrew Martens clocked a stunning 7.82 in the men's 60-meter hurdle finals to take home the title and break the Augustana school record with the current fifth-fastest time in DII.
Nyanas Kur and
Maia Peterson made the most of their 400-meter dash finals appearances, finishing fifth and eighth in 56.36 and 57.46, respectively.
Sydnee Serck claimed sixth in the women's 600-meter run and
Caroline Sudbeck clocked a 2:15.25 for fifth in the 800-meter finals.
Over in the field events,
Bryn Greenwaldt cleared a height of 5-06.00 to tie for third in the women's high jump.
Maria Pedroso scored a total of 3709 points and
Kylee Sallee followed with 3641 points to take second and third, respectively, in the women's pentathlon.
Back on the track, Nelson took third in the women's 1000-meter run with a 3:00.65 for an all-conference finish while on the men's side of competition,
Alex Otten was champion in 2:31.26. He was joined by Ricker (2:31.63) in third, Brown (2:32.28) in fourth and
Kieran Weigelt (2:37.23) in eighth.
Kur added in a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash finals with a time of 25.21.
In the women's 3000-meter run,
Ella Bakken took runner-up distinction in a personal best of 9:48.53 to break into the Augustana top-10 record book. Ally Sample followed close behind in seventh with a PR of 10:13.83 and
Taylor Melton finished 11
th in 10:22.97.
Hartman claimed yet another conference title with an 8:35.97 showing in the 3000-meter run as Keller clocked an 8:39.45 for fourth place. Five other Vikings also competed in the event.
The night ended in the 4x400-meter relay where the women's team of Peterson,
Ella Heinitz,
Caitlin Ostbye and Kur ran a 3:54.20 for third place.
Trent DeCook,
Liam Schick,
Tyler Christianson and
Jude Jarding teamed up to take fourth in 3:20.04.

The Augustana Vikings will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships if such athletes are to advance. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held on March 15 and 16 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
