MANHEIM, Pa. – Augustana wrestling saw its team ranking crack into the top five of the NWCA Coaches Poll with the four NCAA Qualifiers individually rated in the top-five of their respective weight classes. The Monday release served as the reveal for the NCAA DII Tournament rankings.

The Vikings jumped up to fifth in the team rankings with 53.0 points as Nebraska-Kearney took over atop the standings with 92.0 points. St. Cloud State (87.0), Central Oklahoma (71.0) and Grand Valley State (56.0) round out the top-five.

At 125 pounds, Jaxson Rohman sits third in the NWCA rankings and in the NCAA Tournament bracket. He is 18-4 overall this season and recently claimed a Super Region V Tournament championship to qualify for the NCAAs after going 3-0 against regional competition. Rohman collected a tech fall, a major decision and a pin in those three victories and also recently collected All-NSIC First Team honors.

Cael Larson holds down the No. 2 spot in the NWCA and 149-pound bracket. Coming off a recent region tournament championship title, he boasts a 19-5 record after going 3-0 against region opponents last weekend. Larson's performance with two decisions and a major decision earned him a return trip to the NCAA Championships.

No. 4 at 184 pounds is Cade Mueller, who collected four consecutive wins at the region tournament to earn another bid to the national tournament. He tallied two decisions, a major decision and a victory in the second tiebreak period to improve his dominant record to 19-5. The super regional title came days after Mueller earned his third All-NSIC distinction and second first-team honor.

Rounding out NCAA qualifiers and NWCA rankings for Augustana is Max Ramberg. At 197 pounds, he sits fourth with a stunning 30-5 overall record this season. Ramberg collected a tech fall and a major decision at the region tournament where he 2-1 for an NCAA qualification and was recently named to the All-NSIC second team for his first conference honor.

These four Augustana wrestlers will head to Indianapolis, Indiana for the NCAA DII National Tournament on March 14 and 15.
