Nate Vogel welcomed two student athletes to the 2025-26 roster with Kristin Edmonds and Marianna Freeman set to join the Vikings.
Kristin Edmonds | Guard | Lick Creek, Ill. | Carterville High School | Southwest Baptist
Coach Vogel on Edmonds: Kristin is a versatile guard that can play multiple positions. She has consistently shot the 3 very well over the course of her career. Kristin is a very high academic student with starting experience at the D2 level. Kristin is a perfect fit for us on and off the court!
Previous School: Edmonds played three seasons with the SBU Bearcats, appearing in 65 total games with seven starts—all in her junior year. She averaged 5.2 points with 1.8 rebounds in her average of 15.4 minutes of action on the floor
High School: Edmonds was a four-year letterwinner and starter for the Lions who earned team captain honors as a senior. She twice collected All-Tournament recognitions and added in All-Conference and All-District recognitions as a sophomore and junior, respectively
Personal: Kristin is the daughter of Tim and Rachel Edmonds and plans to earn her degree in Exercise Science at Augustana
Marianna Freeman | Guard | Rochester, N.Y. | Bishop Kearney High School | Roberts Wesleyan
Coach Vogel on Freeman: Marianna is a super quick guard who shoots the ball at an extremely high level from the 3pt. line. She has started the last 2 years and has Division 1 playing experience. All of those attributes her make her a great addition to our program.
Previous School: Played two seasons with the Redhawks, appearing in 43 games with 32 starts. She averaged 28.7 minutes on the floor while contributing an average of 9.3 points and 2.7 rebounds a game. She also saw two seasons at Niagara, playing in 14 games as a freshman but redshirting the following year.
High School: A four-year starter and three-year team captain for the Lions, Freeman earned All Greater Rochester honors in each of her four years. She twice made the All-Sectional tournament team and earned MVP status her junior season.
Personal: Marianna is the daughter of Mary and Redell Freeman and plans to major in biology while at Augustana
