Vikings set to wrestle against Morningside on Friday

No. 16 Vikings travel to Sioux City to take on Morningside College

Storylines
• Augustana (2-1) continues competition traveling to Sioux City, Iowa on Friday, Dec. 12 to take on the Mustangs of Morningside College at 7 p.m. 
• The Vikings handled the NAIA opponent winning 19-15 at the Augustana Quadrangular last season on Nov. 15.

Round Two
• Augustana will continue competition the following week traveling to Chadron, Neb. to face-off against Hastings at 1:45 p.m., followed by Chadron State at 3:30 p.m on Dec. 20.
• This will be the last matchup for the Vikings to close out the 2014 year. 
• Augustana will return to action on Jan. 3, 2015 in the Elmen Center, hosting Concordia-Moorhead with a start time of 4 p.m. 
• The Vikings will follow the Concordia-Moorhead matching hosting Augsburg College on Senior Night on Jan. 4, 2015 with a start time of 2 p.m. 

National news - North and Docken hold onto rankings
• Augustana opens the second week of the top 20 preseason poll coming in at the No. 16 spot.
• The Vikings dropped one spot from the first week coming in at No. 15 in the preseason rankings.
• Two wrestlers remain ranked in their respective weight classes.
• All-American and national runner-up TJ North is ranked No. 1 in the 125-pound category.
Jayd Docken grabbed the No. 5 spot in the 197-pound category in the second release by the Division II Wrestling Coaches Association.

The Coach
Jason Reitmeier is in his 12th season as the head coach of the Augustana wrestling program. 
• Reitmeier owns a career record of 119-59 in dual meets (41-23 in conference duals) which ranks second at Augustana
• Reitimeier's winning percentage of .668 is the second-highest in Augustana history and his conference percentage is first.
• Reitmeier has coached two conference championship teams, two region championship teams and led seven teams to top-10 finishes at the NCAA Tournament while coaching 43 All-Americans at Augustana.
