KENOSHA, WIS. – The 17th-ranked Augustana College wrestling team opened the Ranger Duals in Kenosha, Wis. with a 25-9 victory over Findlay, followed by a 26-13 win over Indianapolis Saturday morning. The Vikings improved their season record in duals to 10-4.

TJ North started the match out for the Vikings with an 11-2 major decision over Schuyler Phillip. Following by a 133 pound bout where the Oilers Josh Wimer, ranked eighth in NCAA Division II, won by a 10-3 decision.
Senior
Jeremiah Peterson, ranked fourth, regained momentum for the Vikings as he won a close decision over Ryan Skonieczny, 16-12. Peterson improves his season record to 8-1.
Wrestling at 149, Indianapolis's Goebel Nic won a 9-4 decision over
Jacob Anderson to put the Oilers back in the match, trailing the Vikings by one point, 7-6. In the 157-lb bout,
Shawn Hatlestad worked his way to a 7-3 decision over No. 5 Joey White with all the scoring coming in the second period.
Senior
Parker Swanson recorded a pin in 6:25 to seal the win over Nicholas Skonieczny. Indianapolis got back on the board at 174 pounds with Bradley Metz winning a 4-1 decision. The Vikings were still in favor with a 19-9 lead with three bouts remaining.
Augustana took the next three bouts starting at 184 pounds as senior
Jeff Nielsen rode Alec Bissel out the entire third period for a 4-0 decision. No. 5
Jayd Docken won a 5-2 decision over Gerald Beck.
The Vikings won the 285 pound finale as
Michael Lowman beat Luke Fleming, 4-1. Augustana took the first round victory over the Oilers, 25-9.

Parker Swanson scored an early takedown that secured a 5-4 decision over Clayton Monebrake at the 165 pound bout. The Vikings pushed ahead 17-3 with three bouts to follow.
The Greyhounds got on the board with a 10-0 major decision at 174.
Jeff Nielsen added six points to Augustana's score with a forfeit at the 184 bout. Brian Wagner pinned
