SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana College wrestling team won its fourth straight dual, taking down Concordia-Moorhead, ranked fifth in NCAA Division III, 21-15 on Saturday night. The Vikings improve to 6-1 on the season, while the Cobbers dropped their record to 6-3 on the season.

The Vikings started off slow with three straight losses by decisions to trail Concordia-Moorhead 9-0. Jacob Anderson put Augustana on the score board at the 149-pound division with a 5-1 decision over Yonas Gebreab. With the win, Anderson's record improves to 18-5 on the season.

At 157-pounds Bradyn Neises immediately responded for the Vikings, notching a 7-4 decision over Ben Cousins to only trail the Cobbers by three points, 9-6.

Tasked with facing the No. 3 Division III 165-pound opponent, Parker Swanson came out strong winning an 11-4 decision over Concordia-Moorhead's Jake Krogstad. Swanson pushed Augustana back into the dual with a tied score of 9-9. Swanson is the only Viking to remain undefeated on the season with a 7-0 record.

Sebastian Gardner edged 174-pound Logan Henning with a fall in 4:30 to put the Cobber's ahead 15-9. But Aero Amo responded for the Vikings pinning Dan Marquette late in the second period to tie the dual 15-15.

In the final two duals, fourth-ranked Jayd Docken won a decision of 3-0 over Danny Pike, while in the heavyweight division Michael Lowman won in a 9-4 decision over Justice Davis of Concordia-Moorhead to produce the final score of 21-15 in favor of the Vikings. Lowman improves his season record to 18-4. 

Augustana returns to action Sunday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Elmen Center hosting No. 11 Augsburg College on Senior Day.
