SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana University women's basketball team will be at home for one more game before the holiday break. The Vikings will host Wayne State College on Saturday Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. in the Sioux Falls, Arena. Following the holiday break, Augustana will host Midland University on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m. in the Elmen Center. The game against Midland will be the Vikings final game in the Elmen Center, and final non-conference game this season.

The Starting Five• Augustana is currently 8-2 overall and 3-2 in the NSIC
• After two full weeks of conference play, Augustana is third in the NSIC South
• The Vikings defeated Bemidji State 73-48 on Dec. 12 to improve their winning streak to five game but then lost just their second game of the season the following night to Minnesota Crookston 76-57
• Against Bemidji State the Vikings had three student-athletes scoring double figures. Senior
Sophie Kenney led all scores with 20 points. She was followed by senior Nicole Kerhoff who had 13 and freshman
Lynsey Prosser who had 10
• The Vikings were out shot against Crookston, who shot 48 percent from behind the 3-point arc. Augustana was just 3-of-21 from behind the arc, their second worst performance of the season.
Nicole Kerkhoff had 12-points against UMC while
Sydney Rome had 10-points. This was Kerkhoff's seven game this season and fifth consecutive where she has scored in double-digits
A Look Ahead at Augustana Basketball• Augustana will enter the weekend home stand with a perfect 4-0 record at home. The Vikings are 6-0 in the city of Sioux Falls this season and 2-0 in NSIC games played at home
• The Vikings are averaging 77 points per game while only giving up an average of 62.9 points per game
• Augustana will take on Wayne State College Saturday Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. before the Christmas Break. Following the holiday break, the Vikings will host Midland University on Tuesday Dec. 29 at 4 p.m.
• This will be the second time this season that Wayne State and Augustana have squared off. The two teams met in their NSIC opener back on Nov. 23 in Wayne, Neb. Wayne State came away victorious, 70-58

Wayne State at a Glance• The Wildcats are 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the NSIC. The Wildcats have not had success on the road this season with an 0-4 record
• Since defeating Augustana back on Nov. 23, Wayne State is 1-4, including two straight losses to Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State
• Wayne State has two athletes averaging double-digit points, sophomore Paige Ballinger (17.5 ppg) and sophomore Maggie Schulte (13.1 ppg)
• The Wildcats are averaging 73.3 points per game while only allowing an average of 65.8 points per game
• In their last four games the Wildcats are shooting are shooting just 22 percent from behind the 3-point arc or 14-of-62 shooting

Midland University at a Glance• The Warriors are 6-6 overall and 4-2 in the GPAC conference. Midland has not had a lot of success on the road this season with a 2-4 record
• Midland is currently averaging 65 points per game
• They are shooting 32 percent from behind the 3-point arc and 28 percent from the field. The Warriors have found a lot of success from the Free-Throw, as they are shooting 76 percent
• Their leading scorer is junior Joelle Overkamp who is averaging 17.4 points per game while shooting 41 percent from the field
• Midland is 2-2 in their last four games
• Head Coach Shawn Gilbert is in his third season at Midland. Gilbert has a 32-41 career record at Midland. Gilbert came to Midland after spending four seasons at the University of Nebraska Lincoln as an assistant coach for the Huskers women's basketball team.
