BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Augustana College junior Shawn Hatlestad was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week the conference announced Monday after taking down fourth-ranked Jordan Rinken of No. 10 Upper Iowa. 

A native of New London, Minn., Hatlestad won the 157-pound bout over fourth-ranked Jordan Rinken in a 3-1 sudden victory to help the Vikings to their 11th straight dual win. Augustana took seven of the 10 bouts to dominate the Peacocks in a 25-9 victory to improve to 18-4 on the season and 7-0 in the NSIC.

This is Hatlestad's second career athlete of the week honors, fifth for Augustana this season. Parker Swanson earned the accolades on Nov. 4, 2014, Hatlestad on Dec. 22, 2014, followed by TJ North on Jan. 19 and Michael Lowman earning wrestler of the week on Jan. 26.

The Vikings will close-out regular season hosting No. 1 St. Cloud State on Friday, Feb. 20 in hopes of capturing its second NSIC title. First match is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Elmen Center.
