About Augustana
• The Vikings will be back at home this weekend after two huge wins over rival Sioux Falls in overtime (74-72) and Southwest Minnesota State (68-57). Last weekend's perfect record sets up a huge match-up against Winona State on Friday night. The Winner of that meeting will have sole possession of the NSIC South Division with just one game remaining in the regular season.
• With just one week left in the regular season and teams jostling for playoff seeding, the NSIC is far from settled. Even with Friday's match-up against Winona State having big implications in the final standings, there is only one game separating second-place from fourth-place in the South and second to sixth in the overall standings. As it stands today Augustana and Winona State are tied at 15-5 while Wayne State and USF are tied for second at 14-6.
• Augustana has been the best offensive team in the NSIC this season. The Vikings scoring offense is averaging a league-best 76.7 points per game during the conference season. The closest team to the Vikings in offensive production is St. Cloud State who is averaging 72.5 ppg. The Vikings offense is also one of the best nationally. They are ranked 22nd out of 308 Division II teams in scoring average this season
•All season Augustana has done a great job protecting the basketball. The Vikings have not only been the best team in the NSIC in total assists, assist-turnover ratio and assists per game, but they rank in the top 10 of each category on the national level
• Two Vikings are ranked in the top 40 for scoring in the NSIC. Logan has the 23rd best scoring average at 12.4 and Naomi Rust ranks 34th with an average of 11.2 ppg in conference play. After Logan's 17 rebound performance last weekend against USF, she jumped up four spots in the NSIC ranks to 10th in rebounding in conference play at 7.7 boards per game. Sydney Rome is averaging 1.8 three's pre-game which is the ninth most in NSIC play. Augustana has three players ranked in the top 18 for assists per game average this season. Rome ranks 13th (3.4  ast ), Lynsey Prosser ranks 16th (2.9  ast ) and Logan ranks 18th (2.7  ast )
