BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Augustana track and field senior
Glen Ellingson left his mark on the final day of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala. Ellingson earned second team All-American honors in the 3,000-meters and broke the school record.
Ellingson raced to a 10th-place finish in the 3,000-meters to a time of 8:09.68. Ellingson topped his previous school record which was 8:16.97, by over seven seconds.
Ellingson earned his second second team All-American honor of the weekend after taking 10th in the 5,000-meters on Friday. It was Ellingson's first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships and his first two All-American awards.

On Thursday,
Olivia Montez Brown got the Vikings started on a high note by taking eighth in the long jump and earning All-American honors.
Glen Ellingson earned second team All-American honors with a 10th place finish in the 5,000-meters.
Josh Barrows gained valuable experience in his 13th-place finish in the 800-meter preliminaries.
On Friday, Montez Brown was at it again taking fourth in the pentathlon and earning her second All-American honor of the Indoor Championships. Montez Brown set a personal best in the pentathlon with a score of 3,863 points.
The NCAA Championships were the final meet of the indoor season for the Vikings. Augustana is set to begin its outdoor season on April 9 as hosts of the Vance Butler/Rich Greeno Dual in Sioux Falls, S.D.
