SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana Twilight is returning to action after a cancellation of last year's event. Known as one of the largest races in the region, the Augustana Twilight, held under lights at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, is taking place this Friday, September 3. 

Annually, more than 5,000 participants, coaches and fans converge at Yankton Trail Park for the races under the lights with teams from the NCAA Division I ranks to high school junior varsity races. The 2019 version saw a record number of teams compete at the event.

The Twilight will be able to satisfy all your hunger needs with food vendors in attendance from Harvey's Yellow Submarine, Backyard BBQ and Kettle King Kettle Korn.

The last time the Vikings raced under the lights at Yankton Trail Park, was in 2019 where the men's team placed second while the women's team placed third.

Key Information

• Admission to park for the event is $10 per vehicle. 

• The only entrance for the event is through 57th street entrance to Yankton Trail, westbound only. There will be no left turns into Yankton Trail Park.

• Take extra time arriving to the site with the potential of construction delays.

• 6:40 p.m. - JV Boys 4k

• 7:20 p.m. - Varsity Girls 5k

• 8 p.m. - Varsity Boys 5k

• 8:30 p.m. - College Women 5k

• 9 p.m. College Men 4 Mile
