SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- The Augustana wrestling team returns to the Elmen Center, hosting No. 12 Upper Iowa and MSU Moorhead for Alumni Weekend. The Friday night dual against the Peacocks is slated to begin at 7 p.m., while the Saturday afternoon dual against the Dragons will begin at 2 p.m.

The Peacocks are 3-3 overall and 1-0 in GLVC duals this season. They last hit the mat for the NWCA National Duals, placing in the top eight after going 2-3. UIU has four ranked in the NWCA poll. Chase Luensman slots in at No. 2 at 165 pounds, Tate Murty is the No. 4-ranked 141 pounder, Eric Faught is No. 7 at 157 pounds, and Colter Bye is No. 12 at 184. 

The Dragons are 1-2 on the season and 0-2 in the NSIC after losing to No. 18 Northern State 31-6 last Thursday night. In their dual against Northern State, Cody Wienen (157) and Jacob Reinardy (165) earned their lone victories. 

The Vikings hold a record of 7-4 overall and 2-1 in NSIC action. Augustana defeated /no. 24-ranked Southwest Minnesota State 24-13 last Friday, their only dual of the weekend. Prior to that, the Vikings were last on the mat in the NWCA National Duals, earning three ranked victories en route to a second place finish. Their victory over No. 3 Lander was the Vikings' highest-ranked victory since Dec. 20, 2019. AU now has six ranked wins on the season, including three victories against Northern State. 

Four Vikings were individually ranked in the latest NWCA rankings. Jaxson Rohman continues to hold a grasp at the top spot at 125 pounds. Hunter Burnett continues to hold a spot at 141 pounds, slotting in at No. 11. Cael Larson makes his debut in the 149 rankings, ranking No. 10, and Mueller is now ranked No. 7 at 184 pounds. As a team, Augustana ranks No. 17.
