BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced its tri-annual NSIC All-Academic honors Wednesday with 89 student-athletes, second-best in the conference. Well over half of the Viking student-athletes, 60 total, earned the distinction of NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

"Once again our student-athletes continue to excel in all that they do," Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. "We are continuing to be among the top of the NSIC in all-academic honors and that is something we take great pride in. This is just another example of building champions in the classroom, in competition and in the community."

To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.

Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
