Augustana University Athletics

One of the most competitive athletes for his size, Sonstegard earned varsity letters in football, basketball and track. He captained the 1932 Viking roundballers. He retired after 40 years in South Dakota education as a coach, teacher, and administrator. Sonstegard was also Augie's first Honor Athlete in 1933.
