Hall of Fame
Dee Jay Donlin is a 1978 magna cum laude graduate of Augustana College. While a student, Dee Jay quarterbacked the Vikings to winning seasons in 1975 and 1977.
Dee Jay made the NCC All-Academic team three times; the All-NCC team twice as first team quarterback, receiving MVP honors for a back; and as a senior, Donlin was named one of seven All-NCC Honor Athletes and a COSIDA Football Academic All American. The Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce Sports and Recreation Committee named him the College Male Athlete of the Year in 1978.
Donlin and company shattered nearly every offensive record in the book, including most touchdown passes in a game, (5 vs. Morningside) season, and career; most pass completions in a season and career; most passing yardage in a game and in a season. Viking teams led the NCC in passing and total offense all three years Donlin was quarterback.
Dee Jay's campus leadership was demonstrated off the field as well, as he was selected for membership in Blue Key, Men's Senate, and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He also was awarded an NCC post-graduate scholarship to study theology and psychology.
