Augustana University Athletics

Ekeland, who was a coach and physical education professor at S.D. School of Mines, won four football letters, three in basketball and also lettered in tennis and baseball. A fullback and excellent passer, Ekeland earned all conference recognition despite playing in the shadow of another of Augustana's all time greats – Wayne Sheley.
