Augustana University Athletics

Peterson, chosen "Honor Athlete of 1954", was a standout track man during 1951-54, winning four letters, establishing school records in the mile and two –mile runs and serving as track captain his senior year. He was also a member of the Vikings' 800 mile relay, and sprint medley teams. He was a member of the Augustana staff in a number of difference positions beginning in 1963.
