In four seasons with Augustana's wrestling team Brian Bridges Parlet compiled a remarkable 123-17-3 record.
Four times he earned All-America recognition, and 14 times he was named the outstanding wrestler at a tournament. In his senior season teammates elected him to serve as a co-captain.
Other wrestling accomplishments include a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II championship and four appearances in the NCAA Division I tournament. He also received an NCAA post graduate scholarship in 1980.
He was voted Augustana's most improved wrestler after his freshman season. The next three seasons he earned the outstanding wrestler award.
Twice he won more than 30 matches in a season. In his last two seasons he registered 51 pins.
Bridges Parlet majored in history at Augustana, graduating in 1980. He has done post graduate study at St. Thomas College, the University of Minnesota, the University of Virginia and St. Mary's College.
